The most commonly hardware used today are the industrial springs. They are available in large variety and it can be tricky to choose the correct one. Selecting the wrong spring can disturb the whole mechanism of the machine. Thus, you have to be careful while making selections. You can get any type of springs from the lee spring as they are having a wide variety. Every other machine does involve the usage of springs for the mechanical energy production.
Different types of industrial spring
- Helical springs – these are also referred to as the coil springs. These helical springs store mechanical energy and can resist the force of pulling easily between two substances or objects. These are used in the railway bogies as they have shock absorption quality in them. These springs are basically used for this feature in the industry.
- Wave spring – they are basically used in the compact areas as they are in the wave compact design. These springs are now replacing the usage of coil springs in many areas due to its compact size. It can be used in the low mounted dimensions.
- Hourglass spring – these springs are small at the center and gradually increase its diameter towards the endings just like an hourglass shape. These springs are used in the heavy load application.
- Tapered spring – these are in the conical shape also known as conical springs. The coil of the spring contains tapered ends and they are used in the push buttons, electrical contacts, etc.
- Clock spring – these are in helical wounded shapes and are also referred to as power springs. These are designed in such a way that they expand naturally. This expansion of spring produces circular motion also known as torque. This spring is used when many torsion springs need turn.
