In September 2019, a study was done on the strategies that were implemented by the owners in the business to improve their Google business ranking. This research was basically done on cafes that are listed online. According to the study 600 cafes were analyzed to know more about the strategies and tactics that had helped them to gain their position on local top 3 packs. The data was collected and analyzed for the top 3 cafes on Google from every local market.
According to the research it is analyzed that
- Did they created their Google my business profile
- How many Google Reviews and rating they received
- Name of the business
- Whether they have created their official Website and Facebook page
- Provided information
On the basis of analysis, 89.7 have claimed to have their Google my business profile, while 10.3% of cafes have practiced some different ways to improve their ranking. The next most important step they implanted in is listing all the information like phone number, address and very essential that is opening and closing hours. About 76% of cafes have used their business name on Google that is cafe, coffee, cafeteria and espresso that claims 95.3%, 78.6%, 77.3% and 52.6% respectively successful. Study claims that 99% of the best cafes almost use clean, easy and searchable names for their business.
Top ranking cafes claim to have 4.4 rating and average reviews of 562. On the base of the study it is clear that your rating should be high, it is going to be challenging because sometimes similar or related businesses automatically generate customer leads. United States have claimed some cafes with the average rating of 4.47 but the average worldwide rating is 4.41 which shows that there is no need to worry if the benchmark is set up to 4.5
