How To Clean CNC Machining Machines

CNC machining machines need to be sanitized both inside and out when you buy CNC machine (ซื้อ เครื่อง cnc which is the term in Thai). To clean the various components of this machine, several products will be needed, among which we highlight the industrial degreaser. This product will be used throughout the entire cleaning process and is key to successful cleaning;

Other essential items are lint-free cloths, alcohol for removing paint residue, plastic parts, industrial sponges, and small brushes to clean hard-to-reach corners.

Before starting the cleaning process, assess the general condition of the machining center. Make a checklist with the main parts to be sanitized before starting work.

Inner Part

The inside of the machine may not be visible, but it will undoubtedly be just as dirty as the outside. Check that the electrical contacts are in good condition or need some cleaning. Also, look for signs of corrosion. It is possible to use good anti-corrosion products to repair the part. The system reservoir tank must be drained and cleaned. Sanitize with PRESERVE X 49, then dilute the water-soluble oil in the proportion recommended by the manufacturer.

External Part

1: Degrease And Clean The Whole Machine:

This is where you will use an industrial degreaser. Apply the degreaser to the entire machine, from top to bottom, sides, and finally to the back. Most of the dirt should be removed at this stage. Do not forget to rinse well after using industrial degreasers, as they can cause foam if the machine starts operating with product residues.

2: Control Cleaning

Again, you will need an industrial degreaser. Start with the keyboard using a lint-free cloth, a small brush, and water spray. Spray degreaser on the cloth (never spray directly on the controls!) and wait for the product to be absorbed by the cloth.

Once absorbed, gently clean the keys, careful not to push them hard and damage them. Then move on to the dials. Use the cloth with the degreaser on them too, as well as the canvas. You can use a small brush (a toothbrush, for example) to remove dirt from the corners for the smaller details of the keyboard, screen, and panel. Many CNC machining machines are designed to make the cleaning process better, more efficient, and easier. More modern cleaning processes such as ultrasonic waves or air jets can also be used.

Some machining machines contain recommendations for their cleaning in the user manual. Consult it before cleaning. Look for information such as the physical-chemical composition of recommended products to ensure that the products you use do not contain harmful or corrosive substances to equipment components. Thus, CNC machining machines are central tools capable of performing repetitive tasks and creating parts from metal, plastic, and other materials with great precision. However, they need to be sanitized periodically to ensure their proper functioning.
